1 signature

Young women should be able to move through the Netherlands at night without fear. We ask the national government to launch a concrete plan that funds safer routes, expands targeted night policing, standardises easy reports, and reviews the legal framework for personal safety tools in a careful.

Petition

We

Anyone who moves through Dutch cities at night and supports safer public spaces.

establish that:

Everyone deserves to get home safely after dark. We call for national measures that improve real safety and the feeling of safety: targeted night patrols, faster repair of unsafe spots with public updates, and a simple way to report problems. We also ask for an independent review of personal safety tools so policy is based on evidence and safeguards, not opinions.

and request

Start a national action plan that: 1. funds municipalities to repair and light unsafe routes quickly and publish progress; 2. expand targeted night patrols on key corridors; 3. creates a NL/EN reporting website with feedback; 4. commissions an independent review of the legal framework for personal safety tools (incl. pepper spray), with safeguards, training and evaluation.
